Ubucor is a privately held collaborative
construction practice whose work expands the
context of built, affordable and creative domiciles.
Ubucor is the marriage of two words:
Ubu from the Swahili word Ubunifu, meaning creative.
Cor from the ancient Phoenician dry and liquid unit of measure.
We are excited to announce our first of three Kenyan projects, the Better Life Education Center cafeteria and dormitory. The primary directive is to enhance the BLEC campus by integrating two new buildings with existing structures. We will work to create inspiring and operational facilities for staff, students, and faculty. Communal buildings, such as the cafeteria and the student dormitory address stark needs in common living.
Our building initiative on the continent of Africa is to work directly with local communities, architects, governments and trusted partners to ensure impacted communities have the best of living essentials. Now more than ever we ask you to join our spotlight projects to help our global efforts overcome deficiencies through quality building, clean water and sustainable energy.
The robotic printing of buildings allows construction to overcome the usual constraints of traditional concrete technology by offering an innovative, architecturally de-complexed, personalized and environmentally friendly habitat.
